Pedro &Vinny’s

Pedro &Vinny’s is the original DC street food. And when you see the line for lunch at this all-vegetarian burrito cart on K& 15th Street, you know it’s got to be good. John Rider, the burrito man of Pedro &Vinny’s has perfected the no-meat burrito over 10 years.

Using ALL fresh ingredients, and with dozens of hot sauce options—including his house-made “goose” sauce, named for the Grey Goose vodka bottle it was originally served from--and with some kind of burrito-man-magic, John whips up hundreds of delicious all-vegetarian burritos every day at lunch time. So, the line moves fast, and while you’re waiting you can snack on tortilla chips or taste-test hot sauces.

Once you get up to the front, ordering your burrito is almost as much fun as eating it, because John has a crazy sense of humor and moves so fast while making your burrito that it’s hard to follow both his movements and his words— he’s got it down to 40 seconds per burrito!

If you can’t make it into the city for lunch, Pedro &Vinny’s also has a restaurant in Arlington, it’s not all-vegetarian like the food truck, but they do have a special vegan burrito on the menu.

But for the full Pedro &Vinny’s experience, head down to the all-vegetarian food cart and don’t forget to John how much you love the meat-free menu, or that VegDC.com sent you!
