Celebrate Vegan Pizza Day in DC!
Few things are more delightful than chowing down on the perfect slice of pizza pie. Rounded dough doused in delicious sauce, sprinkled with more than a handful of veggies, smothered with gooey vegan cheese and cooked to perfection makes a scrumptious animal-friendly meal.
Thankfully, an increasing number of pizzerias—from national chains to independent restaurants—are catering to the growing number of caring consumers demanding vegan versions of this popular food, and now it’s easier than ever to find vegan cheese at a variety of restaurants.
To celebrate this growing trend, the makers of Teese Vegan Cheese and popular blogger Quarrygirl have declared a national Vegan Pizza Day on Sat., Jan. 29!
